Glenn holds a BA from Moravian College, a BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts, an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and is also a Tamarind Master Printer in hand lithography.
Glenn is the recipient of 2 National Endowment for the Arts Visual Fellowships and is the author of “Beyond the Brush” and co-author of “The Acrylic Handbook”.
His artworks are in the permanent collections of the Archives of American Art, Brooklyn Museum, San Jose Museum, Phoenix Art Museum, Stanford University, University of Iowa Museum, University of New Mexico, Hammer Museum Gruenwald Collection, as well as numerous corporate and private collections.
Glenn has taught at California College of the Arts, San Francisco Art Institute, University of California State University East Bay and San Francisco State University. In addition, for over 25 years Glenn worked with some of the premier art material companies in the world, including Gamblin Artist Colors, Strathmore Fine Art Paper and Liquitex Acrylic Paint where he helped to develop and test art materials. He has given presentations on art materials throughout the U.S. as well as France, England, Germany, the Netherlands and Japan.
